Chainmaille: Chainmaille is the process of weaving together tiny metal rings (as seen below) into intricate patterns. Each ring is opened and closed with my own two hands.
Materials: I use several different metals in my jewelry pieces:
~ Bright Aluminum: This is a wonderful material, because it is non-tarnishing and very lightweight. It is not as bright white as sterling silver, but it is a shiny silver color, and it never needs polishing!
~ Sterling Silver: Bright white sterling silver! This metal will tarnish over time, but can be polished easily with a chemical cleaner. Since this is a more costly metal, I keep minimal sterling on hand. I take custom orders for sterling pieces. If you see a piece you like while browsing through my store, contact me for the price if you would like it in sterling!
~ Silver Plated: Get the look of sterling for half the price. Silver plated jewelry can be polished with a non-abrasive toothpaste. Do not use chemical cleaner, which will take the plating right off.
~ Anodized Aluminum: These are the colored aluminum rings, which have the same qualities of the bright aluminum. Anodized aluminum metal is non-tarnishing and lightweight.
Custom Orders: Just ask! If you see a pair of earrings you like, I can make you a matching necklace. If you see a bracelet you like, I can make it in different colors, metals, stones, or crystals. Since everything is handmade, I can always adjust the length.
